Paul Watkins of the Survival Craft Inspectorate, a company producing LSA equipment Have asked us to note the Safelaunch hook which, he says: “has been designed to address the issues of accidental release and to entirely negate the possibility of it. It has also been designed so as to remove the needs for critical tolerances between the hook tail and the cam, is manufactured from stainless steel to avoid the effects of corrosion and can fully demonstrate its safe condition without personnel entering the lifeboat”

The Safwelaunch can be retrofitted to older lifeboats.
